Revit Designer – Job Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Revit Designer is responsible for providing AutoCAD and Revit drawings in new project development, manufacturing and installation to the Accurate Controls team.

  • Oversees the process of project drawing creation through all phases, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Shop Submittal, and As Built drawings from begin to end as needed per project.
  • Makes drawing changes to match any red line updates provided by team members prior to and during design and submittals.
  • Develops and implements project BIM standards when developing 3D modeling content.
  • Reviews project modeling work to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitors model adherence to project standards and establish modeling protocols.
  • Creates and maintains Revit families.
  • Completes 2D & 3D modeling work as requested in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Works with sales team to develop Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Drawings for new designs.
  • Sources project information from Engineering team members, Project Managers, construction specifications, construction drawings and other related data to create ACI Shop Submittal drawings in AutoCAD and Revit formats.
  • Compares drawings with the product being manufactured to be certain plans remain updated.
  • Compares drawings with the final product as it is being tested to be certain plans remain updated.
  • Updates the drawings from red line corrections made by the Field Technician during installation, so the final as built plans are available for future service calls or project expansions.
    Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provides additional engineering support as directed by the Engineering Team Director.
  • Offers in-house and on-site customer service for non-essential or non-critical service requirements matching the individual’s ability and as requested by the Engineering Team Director.
  • Aids with other/undefined ACI tasks as requested by the Engineering Team Director.
  • Travels to project sites as needed verify existing designs, and assist with onsite engineering.
    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Aided Design or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Revit, and Autodesk Certification in AutoCAD preferred.
  • BIM modeling skills will require knowledge in all AEC disciplines including architectural, structural & MEP.
  • Experience and desire to develop/control/maintain office Revit/CAD standards.
  • Knowledge of PADS Power PCB and Power Logic, Cisco and HP Networks, Bosch VMS Software.
  • Ability to work closely with all ACI business units.
  • Detail-oriented and focused on quality control.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Dependable and flexible in the face of fast paced customer deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented and supportive of ACI policies and procedures.
  • Must have good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts.

Lead Field Technician – Job Responsibilities/Qualifications

The Lead Field Technician will install, calibrate, test and troubleshoot control systems utilizing only third party available components. These systems include:Programmable Logic Control (PLC) door control, audio communication, CCTV, video visitation, perimeter detection, access control and facility diagnostic systems. This employee will interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to successfully test and certify the security electronic systems. The Lead Field Technician will be responsible to coordinate ACI’s on-site work activities and provide updates to Project Managers. This position provides great opportunities for professional and career growth.

This position includes traveling nationwide to various project locations. Travel is paid by the company. This position is not a local position therefore the candidate must be willing to travel 100% of the time, away from home with paid travel home every other weekend.

Accurate Controls is willing to train candidates who may not have the experience, but willing to travel.

  • Associate Degree in Electro-mechanical Technology preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues with minimal direction and independently establish a course of corrective action.
  • Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and drawings.
  • Must have effective communication skills for interaction with Project Managers, Owners and Contractors.
  • Must be dependable, responsible and willing to learn new technologies/innovations.
  • Must be able to lead/train others in the field.

Field Technician – Job Responsibilities/Qualifications
This team member will support the efforts of the Lead Field Technician to install and troubleshoot the security electronic systems. This individual will also assist with the testing of systems. Accurate Controls will provide the necessary training to develop the skills for this Team Member and this employee must display a willingness to learn and to accept new challenges. This position has great advancement opportunities with the potential to move into a Lead Field Technician Position within an 18-24 month period.
