Software Engineer

The Software Engineer provides software and firmware solutions
for in house hardware, server, and applications. The Software Engineer reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer with oversight by the Engineering Team Director.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop programs in Python and C/C++ for
    use on existing and active projects.
  • Performs coding, debugging, testing, and
    troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements
    in existing systems and platforms.
  • The candidate should be proficient with Linux and
    Windows operating systems, with a focus on Debian.
  • Working alongside other engineers on the team to
    elevate technology and apply best case solutions the candidate will
    analyze and translate user requirements into an application or control system design.
  • Work in a team environment with sales, management, and
    hardware engineers to design unique server and hardware solutions.
  • Oversee the programming and coding needed to deliver a
    fully functional system and hardware solution, utilizing Jira and GIT
    tools.
  • Python & C/C++ programming languages needed or
    willingness and ability to learn.
  • Experience with Asterisk PBX server configuration and
    deployment is ideal.
  • Understanding of Modbus communications protocol and ONVIF
    standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose various systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide additional engineering support as directed by
the Engineering Team Director.

  • Work with Audio, Card Access, and Video Management
    Systems.
  • Willingness to learn and work in Autodesk CAD to update
    drawings and documentation.
  • Readiness to learn about Network switches, HP Aruba,
    Cisco, Juniper, etc.
  • Aid with other/undefined ACI tasks as requested by the
    Engineering Team Director.

Field Technician

The Field Technician will travel nationwide to jobsites in order to install, calibrate, test and troubleshoot control systems utilizing only third party available components. These systems include: Programmable Logic Control (PLC) door control, audio communication, CCTV camera systems, video visitation, perimeter detection, access control and facility diagnostic systems. This employee will interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to successfully test and certify the security electronic systems. The Field Technician will be responsible to coordinate ACI’s on-site work activities and provide updates to Project Managers.

This position provides great opportunities for professional and career growth.

This position includes traveling nationwide to various project locations. Travel is paid by the company. This position is not a local position therefore the candidate must be willing to travel 100% of the time, away from home with paid travel home every other weekend.

Accurate Controls is willing to train candidates who may not have the experience, but willing to travel.

Job Qualifications:

·3-5 years of experience in related field preferred, not required

·Ability to troubleshoot issues with minimal direction and independently establish a course of corrective action

·Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and drawings

·Effective communication skills for interaction with Project Managers, Owners and Contractors

·Dependable, responsible and willing to learn new technologies/innovations

-Willingness to travel nationwide for long periods of time away from home
